Canadian Construction Core Ltd, a small business in Ottawa, ON, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This position involves performing full cycle bookkeeping duties using Sage 50 Accounting, along with handling general office tasks for both Canadian Construction Core Ltd and Canadian Lock & Supply Ltd.
Position Details:
Job Title: Bookkeeper
Employment Type: Part-Time
Pay: $30/Hr
Work Schedule: 2 days per week, 8-hour shifts 07:30-16:00
Location: In-Office, 890 Taylor Creek Dr, unit 2
Candidates must be able to perform ALL the following tasks, with minimal to no supervision:
Accounting Duties:
- Entry of all financial transactions, posting, journal entries, adjustment, Trial Balances, and monthly financials
- Bank reconciliation
- Credit card reconciliation
- Account Receivable – Print EFT statements, post in Sage, attach EFT to invoices.
- Accounts Payable – Verify vendor invoices for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper authorization for payment. Post invoices into Sage.
- Filing/Archiving receipts and invoices
- Assist with general office duties
- Preparing estimates and invoices from input generated from field staff
- Government remittances including WSIB, HST, Corporate Tax
- Enter year end adjustments from accountant
- Prepare and submit T5018s
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper
- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Must have a clean criminal background.

Canadian Construction Core Ltd. has an immediate opening for a Skilled Labourer. We specialize in commercial renovations, facility maintenance and tenant improvements.
Candidates must be able to perform ALL the following tasks, with minimal to no supervision:
Jack of all trades, Renovations and repairs, commercial flooring removal and installation, T-bar ceilings, windows/doors installation, millwork/carpentry repairs and install, light demolition work, drywall repairs and installation, painting, concrete repairs, etc.
Education, Experience and Qualifications Requirements
- 10 years experience required in the construction Industry or related areas – Required
- First Aid/CPR, Working at Heights and WHMIS certification – Preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance – Required
- Valid G driver’s licence – Required
- Company vehicle to get from shop to the worksite
- 2 weeks vacation + 1 week paid time off at Christmas
- 1 week additional vacation at 5 years of employment
- 3 paid sick/personal days
- Paid recertification of courses required to work in the industry.
- Full hours with possibility of overtime
- Good quality tools
- Health and safety PPE (not including steal toed shoes)
- Company branded work clothes – Shirts, hats, toques etc.
